Yogananda's Flower Essences are inspired by the techings of the great Master Paramahansa Yogananda, author of the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi. Yoganandaji explained that specific uplifting influences and energies are inherent in certain foods.

Swami Kriyananda, a direct disciple of Yoganandaji and founder of Ananda Sangha worldwide, commissioned Lila Devi to create these flower essences using the blossoms of the fruits and vegetables the Master listed.

Since 1977, the essences have gained worldwide recognition and acclaim. They are rapidly finding their way into homes in Yoganandaji's native country, India. The Yogananda's Flower Essences were introduced to india in 2004.

Holistic healing, at its best, supports the entire living being by strenghening its force, which is the true healer.Flower essences are one such method. As Hippocrates, considered the father of Western medicine, said nearly 2,000 years ago, "Our natures are the physicians of diseases." They are also the harbingers of our health.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are filled with life force, Yogananda said and even more so with the blossoms, or the reproductive system of the plant. If the cherry fruits contains the "vibrational vitamin" of cherrfulness,it is the cherry flowers that contains the highest concentration of this subtle energy.

Practitioners and laypeople alike are finding that Yogananda,s Flower Essences help to activate a wide range of psycho-spiritual strengths. Much like the plucking of a string on a musical instrument, other strings of the same note will vibrate as well on that same sounding board.Based on the law of "sympathetic resonance" flower essences strike a similar note in our consciousness-stimulating ennobling qualities that lie within our nature. These essences have been researched for more than 25 years.
